The running of the Fund has been in the Wee Paper the last few years and the issue is one that
won't just go away. It seems the Fund is no longer receiving revenue from the sea-front car-park,
and is now owed £150,000 or more by North Ayrshire Council.
This is the rightful province of accountants and solicitors, and we have a
series of articles from Jim Perman,
local chartered accountant. These were published in the Largs & Millport Weekly News
last year, around April 1999.
Any balancing material from the "other side" of this issue is very
welcome. Hopefully all will get sorted soon, and we'll move on to spend the Just Sums on good local
projects as originally intended. These pages will try to collect together some of the good works
the Fund did in the past, and will do in the future.
